SHORT TOUR
Tour TGG 02 – Kuala Terengganu City Tour (4 hours)
Tour starts with a visit to the Central Market situated alongside the river, where fishermen bring in their catch. You will find plenty of local products and food in and around the wet market. Just beyond the market is Istana Maziah, the official residence of the Sultan built at the beginning of this century at the foot of a small hill. Visit the Zainal Abdin Mosque before proceeding to Pulau Duyung – a typical Malay village on a small island at the river mouth. This island is renowned as a shipbuilding center.
Tour TGG 03 – Lake Kenyir Tour (4 hours)
Located about an hour drive from Kuala Trengganu, Lake Kenyir is know as the biggest man made lake in South East Asia. It was formally a tropical rainforest and now a hydro-electric dam. There are many species of fresh water fish found in the lake including the carnivorous toman fish and it is a heave for anglers. Take a boat ride to explore the lake, visit herbal island and a waterfall.
Lake Kenyir Tour (3 days 2 nights – ex Kuala Trengganu)
Located about an hour drive from Kuala Trengganu, Lake Kenyir is known as the biggest manmade lake in South East Asia. It was a tropical rainforest before being flooded to become a hydro- electric dam. Lake Kenyir is home to many species of fresh water fish, including the carnivorous ‘toman’ or snakehead fish. It is a haven for anglers. Take a boat ride to explore the lake, visit herbal island and a waterfall.
Day 01 – Meet at Kuala Trengganu and transfer to Lake Kenyir. The journey is about an hour and passing through local Malay villages and plantation. Check in at Lake Kenyir Resort & Spa. Overnight (garden villa)
Day 02 – Breakfast. Explore Lake Kenyir with a boat trip to Herbal Island and Lasir Waterfall. There are 240 species of plants with medicine value growing on this island. These plants are tag and your guide will explain to you the medicine value and how the local people use them to cure sickness.
Lasir Waterfall is 500 feet high with fresh water falling onto a multi tiered level of boulders and rocks. Take a dip or enjoy a swim in the natural pool. Return to the resort. Afternoon is free to explore the surrounding or unwind at the swimming pool overlooking the lake.
Overnight at Lake Kenyir Resort & Spa (garden villa).
Day 03 – Breakfast. Check out. Transfer to Kuala Terengganu. TOUR ENDS.
